I Got a thing for Ryan Rowe

December 12th, 2008

I’ve been into The Ryan Rowe Collection since July of last year (2007) and I’m kicking myself for not posting up the collection sooner.  With great hand-made craftsmanship and 1/2 sizes up to a 14 , you cant go wrong. “Ryan Rowe presents a concept of modern luxury which is about quality, accessibility, simplicity, attention to detail, getting back to nature and being comfortable.”

What She Wants

December 9th, 2008

There’s only 2 more weeks left for the pre-holiday shopping season and if you haven’t gotten anything for the woman of the house then you need to get on your job very quickly.  If there’s anything else I know besides fashion, it’s Women (trust me on this one, I know Women!).  When it comes to getting your lady a gift there are two important tips to remember:

1. Think about what you think she may want; not what you want her to have.  Sure she likes lingerie, but she can buy that for herself as a gift to you.

and

2. Quantity before Quality. Didn’t get this one?  Women love a diamond necklace and or earrings, but adore being showered with gifts.  Get her a bag full of the simple things she likes along with that big gift you know she wanted.

Check out the items below, this might get the shopping-for-her blood flowing.

Nike Debut Sportswear Collection

May 14th, 2008

Nike Sportswear Collection

Nike introduced the much anticipated Nike Sportswear line recently in Beijing, China, with an exhibition that included eight iconic products including the Air Force 1, the Windrunner, AW 77 Hoody, the Nike Dunk, Air Max 90, Eugene Track Jacket, the Cortez, and NSW Tee. The exhibition also included installations by highly celebrated artist, Robert Wilson, and producer, Noah Khoshbin.

Nike Sportswear is a line that aims to combine the best of Nike’s heritage with today’s technology and innovations. The focal point of its design is the body as Nike believes that “if you have a body, you’re an athlete.” For its 2008 F/W Collection, it has a variety of pieces including varsity belts, caps, and jackets, Nike Zoom Tennis Classic, Nike Star Classic, Terminator High, Storm-Fit Sports Man Coat, and a number of tees. The Nike Zoom Tennis Classic is a collaboration project with Fragment Design, a brand started by streetwear godfather, Hiroshi Fujiwara. In all the pieces, you can definitely see the remix of classic materials with a modern twist.

Bureau Spring Summer 2008

May 11th, 2008

Bureau Logo

A maritimed up collection of warm-weather swag, Bureau’s the handiwork of a former Greige designer (Cory Gomberg) who found inspiration in the “leisure pursuits of JFK”, i.e., yachting, having nice hair, and poon. Skirt-chasing begins with Nantucket-esque outerwear: sports jackets triple-stitched in ribbed poplin, and a half-waist Regatta Parka made from cotton sailcloth w/ resin “sail finishing” — making it resistant to UV light and water, but offering little protection from bolt-action riflery (too soon?). As for shirts, Bureau has you in lightly-hued seersucker gingham check shirts, henleys, and button-ups made from broadcloth, a premium cotton first developed in medieval England (whose only other “premium” offering was plague).
