Tom Ford S/S 09 Lookbook

December 20th, 2008

tom ford spring summer 09

“The new Tom Ford collection is a new world of menswear built on a vision of deeply personalized luxury. The collection offers the finest quality products made in Italy be artisan craftsman, in a complete world of high level Men’s ready to wear and made to measure clothing. The head to toe collection includes tailored suiting , hand crafted footwear, stitched bags, monogrammed luggage, shirts, ties, outerwear, small leather goods and accessories.

As you will see in the pictures below the muted colors are taking a back seat as the return of color is imminent. It is as usual a more complimentary fit for the slimmer guy due to the collection’s emphasis on tailoring. It is interesting to note that as well as of course designing the whole collection, Tom Ford actually did the whole photo shoot for it as well.”

I couldn’t have said it better myself.

I Got a thing for Ryan Rowe

December 12th, 2008

I’ve been into The Ryan Rowe Collection since July of last year (2007) and I’m kicking myself for not posting up the collection sooner.  With great hand-made craftsmanship and 1/2 sizes up to a 14 , you cant go wrong. “Ryan Rowe presents a concept of modern luxury which is about quality, accessibility, simplicity, attention to detail, getting back to nature and being comfortable.”

What She Wants

December 9th, 2008

There’s only 2 more weeks left for the pre-holiday shopping season and if you haven’t gotten anything for the woman of the house then you need to get on your job very quickly.  If there’s anything else I know besides fashion, it’s Women (trust me on this one, I know Women!).  When it comes to getting your lady a gift there are two important tips to remember:

1. Think about what you think she may want; not what you want her to have.  Sure she likes lingerie, but she can buy that for herself as a gift to you.

and

2. Quantity before Quality. Didn’t get this one?  Women love a diamond necklace and or earrings, but adore being showered with gifts.  Get her a bag full of the simple things she likes along with that big gift you know she wanted.

Check out the items below, this might get the shopping-for-her blood flowing.

Morgan Grays Spring/Summer 09 Collection

July 29th, 2008

Morgan Grays has unveiled their Sping/Summer 2009 Collection at the New York City Collective Tradeshow last week. I asked about the inspiration of the collection and Morgan Molthrop, Co-Founder of the hot, new leathercrafting company said:

Inspiration for Designer Stewart Grays came from English designer, Stewart Grays’, move to New England. “The organic canvas lines use the colors of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket,” Morgan Grays has been making a splash in men’s retailing by going against the outsourcing trend, staying made in America and bringing color back into a basically black and brown accessories market. “We are bringing the art of leathercrafting back to America,” says Molthrop, who estimates that less than 3% of all the leather goods sold in America are now actually made here. “There is a market for luxury goods made in America and we’re the only enterprise providing luxury leather goods that are actually made here.” The New England theme, adds Grays, is appropriate as all these beautiful leather pieces are made in New Hampshire, Connecticut and Massachusetts.
